Good afternoon Pennsylvania Members!
We just got back from the AHDI Convention and all I can say is “WOW”!
There were 823 attendees at the Convention in Orlando, Florida—the
highest attendance to date for an AHDI/AAMT Convention!! Also,
Pennsylvania tied with Texas for third place for the highest number of
attendees!!! The Florida chapters did an excellent job with the selection of
speakers/meeting.
The HOD Meeting was another hit; and as I mentioned to you last year, this
meeting has a new format whereby we review the events of the year and
how we are doing (please see attached report on the many initiatives we
have going!) and brainstorm on what we can be doing better! I especially
enjoyed the CDA4CDT Presentation as it enlightened me on the importance
of this committee. Also Gary David, PhD, who did the MT Bentley Survey
presented his viewpoints of the Medical Transcription Industry from an
“outsider’s perspective” and the next steps. Please visit the attached report
